Privacy Policy

This policy explains how BrilliantZero Technologies Private Limited (“we”, “us”) handles information in the TORQ iOS app.

2. Information we collect

  • Account: email, password (secured by our auth provider), display name, username, optional profile photo, preferred units.
  • Garage: car details you add (make, model, year, nickname, photos).
  • Drive data: when you manually start/end a drive — GPS route points, distance, duration, speeds derived from GPS, timestamps, and the car used.
  • Social: follows, activity generated from app events, achievements, and content you choose to share.
  • Device / diagnostics: basic crash or analytics signals if enabled in a given build (may include device type and app version).

3. Location

TORQ requests location permission to record routes for drives you start. Background location is used only while an active drive is recording. In V1 we do not provide live location sharing to other users, and we do not auto-start drives.

4. How we use information

  • Provide core features: auth, garage, drive history, stats, crew, and rankings.
  • Improve reliability and fix crashes.
  • Respond to support requests.
  • Comply with law when required.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Sharing

We use infrastructure providers to run TORQ (authentication, database, file storage). They process data on our behalf under contractual obligations.

If you follow friends or share cards, information you choose to make visible can be seen by other TORQ users according to product features.

6. Retention & deletion

We keep account and drive data while your account is active. You can delete your account in the app (Profile → Settings → Delete Account). Deletion removes your auth account and associated app data subject to normal backup and legal retention limits.

7. Children

TORQ is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). Do not use the app if you are under that age.

8. International users

Your information may be processed on servers outside your country. By using TORQ you understand this transfer may occur as needed to operate the service.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised policy.
